We are a simple family of four. We try to make the most out of this journey called life. My husband was born in a small town in New Mexico and I in a small town in Kansas, yet we met in Houston and began our lives together there. After five years of marriage we relocated to Atlanta. We have three beautiful daughters and a crazy black lab! We may take ourselves on some crazy adventures at times but we know we have our faith, our love for each other, and our family that will get us through anything!

TrIcK oR tReAt!!!!!

Wow....I feel like it has been a marathon blogging experience going back through all of our Halloween season activities!  But it was also a reminder of how many wonderful memories we created along the way!

On Halloween Mike came home from work early so we could trick or treat together.  Evie's friend Aida and her parents also joined us for the evening since there aren't many young kids in their neighborhood.  I think this was a special treat for Evie and she loved having a friend along!

This is how we roll these days:0).....Aida (and a little girl they babysit who was with us for a bit) and Layla and Evie ready to go!

We went to a neighbor's house prior to trick or treating for appetizers and treats!  It was fun seeing all the kids in costumes and meeting some new neighbors.  Evie again was so excited and couldn't wait to trick or treat.  After she would get a treat at a house she would excited run to tell her daddy..."yook daddy I dot anoder one!  I dot it!"  I honestly think she could have gotten a rock at each house and been just as excited.

 Our family.....so blessed!!!!

Tired little lamb.....getting a quick nap before the BIG festivities!

Our subdivision has some really large hills but Evie was determined to walk and was too excited to ride in the wagon between the houses.  After an hour and a half, several houses, two really steep hills, one pitstop to feed Layla, once "re-ring" of a doorbell at an unknown house after Evie suddenly announced she had to go potty (and when you gotta go, you gotta go), and a heavy bag full of candy...Evie announced several times...."I had enough!"  So she went out with almost as much excitement as she went in!  Sweet girl.....she trudged along for about seven more houses until we made it home, but mentioned several times she had enough and was super excited to see our house!

Trick or Treat!

Evie and our neighbor's sweet granddaughter!

 off for more goodies!

Toward the end of our night the daddy's decided to take the girls up to the house (instead of the mommy's).....and this is the house they chose.....one of the scariest ones, with a masked man waiting to scare trick or treaters who attempted to take too much candy! ......only daddies!

This was shortly after Evie started announcing she "had enough!"  (Good thing Mike is holding Evie or I would wonder what kind of man purse he was carrying:0)

Well.... The Great Pumpkin may not have visited Linus, BUT he did visit our house.  He ate all of Evie's candy (he left her one bag of candy corn since that is her favorite)...but he did leave her a wonderful present in place of her candy:0)

What is it?
