We are a simple family of four. We try to make the most out of this journey called life. My husband was born in a small town in New Mexico and I in a small town in Kansas, yet we met in Houston and began our lives together there. After five years of marriage we relocated to Atlanta. We have three beautiful daughters and a crazy black lab! We may take ourselves on some crazy adventures at times but we know we have our faith, our love for each other, and our family that will get us through anything!

Fun with tape.....

I loved getting so many wonderful ideas from my friend Renee while teaching at The Parish School.  One of my favorites was putting masking tape in the block center and having kids use it to create roads, tape blocks together, and pretty much anything that inspired them.  I recently saw this idea on Pinterest as well and it reminded me of how much fun it was.  It encourage me to try it out with Evie!   Success!!!! (for both she and I)

I regret that I didn't take a photo of our complete "town" and roadwork which extended around the rug and across the sofa!  Of course we pull the tape up when finished playing for the day so it doesn't leave a residue.....but pulling up the tape is half the fun.....and leaves opportunity to re-create the next day!

Taking the car through the car wash.

Our zoo!

....if you live in Atlanta you must have a Chic-fil-A!  And I love that the car going through the drive through ordered a "strawberry milkshake!" then the employee asked, "with cream (whipped cream) and cherry?" followed by a prompt, "yes!".....well rats......gone are the days when mommy can get away with secretly getting those:0)

she felt we needed a "story time,"  (probably because we had been to story time that morning).  She told me we needed "squares and books" (the squares are the mats the children are sitting on) so I helped her make them.  One of the books I made was Pinkalicious so she felt we needed a pink cupcake (which is next to the teacher).

*Many times Layla is asleep in the stroller so I just let her in the stroller behind us.......I noticed Evie put the poor baby behind the kids here too:0)

we typically go to a park and have a picnic after story time so Evie felt we needed to do the same here!  She even found a goose to add (there are geese at the park where we have our picnic)

and our farm!

Who knew masking tape could be so much fun!!!!!!!
