We are a simple family of four. We try to make the most out of this journey called life. My husband was born in a small town in New Mexico and I in a small town in Kansas, yet we met in Houston and began our lives together there. After five years of marriage we relocated to Atlanta. We have three beautiful daughters and a crazy black lab! We may take ourselves on some crazy adventures at times but we know we have our faith, our love for each other, and our family that will get us through anything!

Evie and Layla's first (possible annual) Halloween Party!

First, I have to give credit where credit is due.......my cousin Sheri invited us to a party at their house that she was putting together for her son Jake.  It made me start thinking about the possibility of hosting our own as well.  And those of you who know me.....know how I love to host a party:)

Evie was so excited to know many of her friends were coming to our house for a party.  She helped me do some cleaning and some baking to get ready.  The night before while she was in bed I did some simple decorating.  The excitement on her face the morning of the party as she walked downstairs was beyond priceless.  I could hear her all the way upstairs yelling to her daddy, "Daddy...it's How-yo-ween!  My friends are toming.  It's a party!"

We made tissue paper pumpkins for the windows, decorated mini-pumpkins, made some pumpkin play-doh, had lunch and goodies, and decorated sugar cookies.  We had a wonderful turn out and so much fun.  I loved seeing Evie around so many friends, especially since I was worried about losing so many wonderful friends in our relocation last January.
