A Day with the Bachicha's: Evie Turns 4!

It's so hard to believe I have a 4 year old!!!! Before I recap her birthday party and birthday, I thought I'd stroll down memory lane......

My sweet girl the day we brought her home from the hospital!

.....and shortly before her 4th birthday!

I wish I could keep her small, but I do love watching her grow into this little girl with such curiosity, imagination, and role model for her (soon to be) 2 little sisters!

I'll recap her Enchanted Garden Fairy party in another post....I wanted to keep this one about her actual birthday! We had her party the Saturday before her birthday (which was on a Tuesday). It can be confusing to a 4 year old, so I explained to her that at her party she wouldn't actually be 4....yet! But she would be 4 on her birthday day which was Tuesday!

So when Tuesday arrived and she awoke, Mike and I immediately showered her with kisses and told her Happy Birthday. Then she asked, "Sometime today, will I be 4?" When I told her it was the day and she was already 4, her eyes lit up and she asked if she could invite her friend (who lives down the street) over to play because she couldn't wait to tell her she was four now just like her!"

For breakfast she requested four pink and purple pancakes with sprinkles and candles! Nothing specific....right? ha! I had actually done this on her third birthday and she remembered...I think I have started a tradition for her!

She wanted to eat outside on our deck....and Layla and I sang Happy Birthday to her!

Evie was so sweet and didn't want Layla to be left out so she asked if I could put candles in her pancakes too! (But she said I should only put two pancakes on Layla's plate since she was two.....ha! And yes, Layla noticed and wasn't too happy that she didn't get as many pancakes)
