Last weekend Mike went to spend the weekend with his dad. His dad had been in the hospital a few weeks ago (thankfully is at home and doing much better now!) But with Mike having been working on his EMBA until May we didn't really have a time when we could travel to visit family and now with me nearing my due date we won't be able to travel for a while. We decided it was best for Mike to go and visit dad. With much of his vacation time being used for school since January it was going to be a quick weekend trip.....(which is too hard on the girls to travel that far for just a few days). And with me due in 2 months my doctor doesn't really want me to travel until after the baby arrives. Since daddy was going to be gone we decided to have a "mini" girls weekend!
We ate dinner outside....as princesses of course!
And I had some "live entertainment" on the deck following dinner:
The we went to get frozen yogurt.....in princess dresses.....and princess heels....why not, it was a girls weekend. (And yes, I got a few looks as my girls clomped into the yogurt shop)
Saturday morning homemade vanilla waffles and peach/strawberry/banana smoothies!
Then time at the neighborhood pool!

And we ended our girls weekend with some sidewalk chalk fun!
We sure did miss daddy and kept him updated about our weekend by sending him these photos! We were glad he got to see his dad and we were also glad to see him again when he got home!
"Girls weekend" has taken on such a different meaning than it did 6 or 7 years ago.......but I wouldn't change it for the world!!!!!!!
