Last week Evie attended an Ariel Princess Ballet Camp at the Studio where she has been taking ballet. The camp consisted of an hour of ballet, an hour of Art (at the Art Studio in the same strip center), then an hour of gymnastics. She absolutely loved it and was so excited to go every day. The instructor for the camp is supposed to be her instructor for the fall as well so it was nice she got to meet her a bit before September.
There only ended up being five girls in Evie's class (it was the second one they opened when the first one filled with 14 girls). It was nice she had a smaller group. I felt sorry for Miss Lindsey, her teacher, as she had quite a tongue twister of names with: Evie, Ivy, Suvi, Ava (Ah-Va), and Sophia. They were all very sweet girls and Evie gave each of them a hug on the last day of camp :)
On the last day, they invited parents to join class for the last 15 minutes for a little presentation of the girls' activities from the week. Below is a short snapshot of the fun.
On the last day of camp the girls got to have a "dress up" day and wear anything they wanted. Evie had given Layla this Ariel costume for a birthday present and decided she needed to wear it since it was the Ariel camp!
Showing us her Art project from the last two days of camp :)
Layla was very excited to see her sister on the last day and ran to give her a big hug!
Showing off some of the things she learned in camp!
The collection of her art projects.......
A little video of her end of camp ballet performance.
And a little video of an obstacle course from her gymnastics portion of camp:
I think ballet continues to be one of her favorite activities! She certainly had a wonderful time at the ballet camp!
