We are a simple family of four. We try to make the most out of this journey called life. My husband was born in a small town in New Mexico and I in a small town in Kansas, yet we met in Houston and began our lives together there. After five years of marriage we relocated to Atlanta. We have three beautiful daughters and a crazy black lab! We may take ourselves on some crazy adventures at times but we know we have our faith, our love for each other, and our family that will get us through anything!

Neighborhood Party!

Last Saturday was our neighborhood Halloween party.  I had finally found some time to put together the tutu for Evie's Glinda costume so I was hopeful she would consider wearing it to the party.  WELL....apparently I should have just put the tutu together weeks ago and I wouldn't have had to even worry about the bumble bee costume.  The minute she saw it she was so excited and wanted to put it on immediately....which meant at breakfast...even though the party didn't start until 4:00 that afternoon.  She danced and twirled and thought it was the greatest thing ever.  (And we still had three more times to wear costumes and ended up choosing this one every time...maybe I can convince her to be a bumble bee next year :)

I was hoping to get a few photos of she and Layla in their costumes.  I had to snap a few of Evie in between her twirls...lol!

....and then just when I got the two of them together....

....a big gust of wind came up....I kind of thought it was par for the course with the Wizard of Oz theme we had going!

...and just like the movie Dorothy went running...ha!

Once we were at the party Layla was very attached to Toto and carried it everywhere.

.....until she found out there was popcorn!

Evie was very excited at the thought of maybe seeing some of her friends from her preschool class.  And she made me laugh when she told me, "Ansley is a girl so she will have on a girl costume, and the others are handsome so they will have boy costumes."  Maybe I should feel lucky she obviously doesn't understand the definition of handsome.

And here she is with one of her sweet friends:)

They had a DJ playing music and the girls had so much fun just dancing in the street.  They were two cute!

A dog truly is man's best friend....even if the "man" is pint-sized and the dog is stuffed :)

 My sweet little Dorothy!
