Right around the time Evie turned 3 she basically ended up giving up her afternoon naps. We are at a point where she maybe naps 2 days out of the week. I tried to keep it going, but it was becoming such a battle and if she did actually lie down and fall asleep bedtime either became really tough, with frequent excuses to get out of bed or she would lie in bed for over an hour to an hour and half before she fell asleep. People often told me, once she starts school she will be tired and go back to naps, but it didn't change even when she to camp for a week over the summer and hasn't made a difference in her Tuesday classes either. I am very blessed that she has such a good imagination and usually does well playing by herself for a period of time while Layla naps so I can get a little done around the house.
A few weeks ago when Mike's family was visiting, she had been up later than usual so Mike and I thought it would be good if we tried to get her to rest (and actually take a nap). I went to put Layla down for her nap and he was going to help Evie.
So apparently.......
This is how mommy puts her girls down for a nap:
And this is how daddy puts his girls down for a nap:
.....perhaps he misunderstood who should be napping :)
Sorry dear....you know I love you!
