I really like going to the Kinsey Family Farm. It's one of the few farms with pumpkins (not an actual patch) that is open to the public during the weekday. It's usually not too busy and they have a hayride animals to feed, and picnic tables for a lunch. Oh and they have the absolute best organic chocolate zucchini bread they sell....oh my goodness...seriously I buy a small loaf pan and can practically eat the entire thing before I get home! I really think it is impossible to have just one small bite of it! ...so don't say I didn't warn you :)
They also have Christmas Trees and we actually got our tree from them last year. You can actually cut down your own tree they grow right there on their farm...(but we ended up preferring the precut Douglas Firs they had for sell as well!)....during the Christmas season they also have marshmallows you can buy and roast on their fire pits too!
Anyway, here is a short recap of our day there:
My little pumpkin at Kinsey Family Farm!
Just me and my girls on the hayride! Waiting for it to start!
They hayride stops on the other side of this small pond and you can feed the catfish in the water from the deck. There were also some ducks and geese who joined in the feeding fun as well! The girls seemed to really enjoy it!
An attempt at getting a picture of all four of them! Layla wasn't really a fan of photos this day and not too happy about sitting on the ground in the hay. (And I didn't realize until now that Evie practically had sweet Annika in an almost choke hold...so sorry sweet girl!)
sweet girls!
silly girl!
Walking to the barn to feed some of the animals.
At first Evie wasn't too sure about the animals and was a little scared to feed them some crackers. But after watching me feed some of them, she finally got brave enough and decided to give it a try:)
I think the girls almost had the most fun just running around together! We are so blessed to have made so many wonderful friends!
Not sure what I thinking, when I tried to get a quick photo of my two girls before we left...ha!
