We are a simple family of four. We try to make the most out of this journey called life. My husband was born in a small town in New Mexico and I in a small town in Kansas, yet we met in Houston and began our lives together there. After five years of marriage we relocated to Atlanta. We have three beautiful daughters and a crazy black lab! We may take ourselves on some crazy adventures at times but we know we have our faith, our love for each other, and our family that will get us through anything!

Snow Day!!!!!

We had a wonderful snow day today!!!!!  Those of you watching our weather may be wondering what I'm talking about since it's beautiful, bright, sunny and in the 50's here today!  Well we ventured to the "Snow Mountain" at Stone Mountain Park.  And we had a really wonderful time!

For those of you familiar with Stone Mountain Park, they turn the memorial lawn area into acres of a winter wonderland.  Complete with Snow play areas for building snowmen, making forts, and having snowball fights.  They have some larger tubing rides for a little older kids and some small tubing and sledding areas for toddlers.  The girls seemed to have a great time and we all got our fix of snow!

Layla had fun standing next to the fort we were building and playing in the snow.

.....wish we would have gotten the picture of what happened prior to this though.....she collapsed the fort and took a dive in the cold snow:0)

Daddy helped the girls build a snowman!

The snowman masterpiece.  (I won't mention any names, but someone wouldn't stand beside it so we could take a picture)

She was very brave and wanted to try sledding down the hill like some of the other kids.

Ready........Set......

Go!!!!!!

But she almost tipped over and decided she wasn't too sure about it.....needless to say she only tried it once.  But we applauded her on being so brave and trying it!

Then she saw some kids in the tubes and decided she wanted to try it too!

....until they got to the top and she looked down the hill....changed her mind pretty quickly so back down the ramp they went:0)

our little snow bunny taking it all in!

Evie decided the snowball shooting area looked a little less scary than the sledding hills!

Well it was a beautiful day outside and I couldn't have asked for a better morning spent with my wonderful husband and girls!  And I loved getting my fix of snow...........in 50 degree weather and without having the mess of having to wash it off my vehicle or deal with slushy mud!!!!
