We are a simple family of four. We try to make the most out of this journey called life. My husband was born in a small town in New Mexico and I in a small town in Kansas, yet we met in Houston and began our lives together there. After five years of marriage we relocated to Atlanta. We have three beautiful daughters and a crazy black lab! We may take ourselves on some crazy adventures at times but we know we have our faith, our love for each other, and our family that will get us through anything!

Pumpkin Carving

We continued our tradition of carving a pumpkin this year!  I love so many things about Halloween, but carving our pumpkin has to be near the top of the list!

Evie had fun watching daddy carve the top of the pumpkin, then lifting the lid!

And she had fun finding all the seeds....

BUT Layla didn't want to get too close!

So I got Layla a spoon from the kitchen and asked if she would help "stir" the seeds so she would be a part of the fun!

messy fun!

We had been reading a book at night about a boy carving a pumpkin so Evie wanted ours to look just like the one in the book.  Therefore, we had a very traditional jack-o-lantern this year...and I loved that it was Evie's idea!

I also continued the tradition of roasting the pumpkin seeds.  This years flavors were chile lime, salted caramel, and candied!  They were all a success!!!!!

It's so fun creating traditions for our family!
