We are a simple family of four. We try to make the most out of this journey called life. My husband was born in a small town in New Mexico and I in a small town in Kansas, yet we met in Houston and began our lives together there. After five years of marriage we relocated to Atlanta. We have three beautiful daughters and a crazy black lab! We may take ourselves on some crazy adventures at times but we know we have our faith, our love for each other, and our family that will get us through anything!

Garden Lights, Holiday Lights!

Last year we took the girls to the light display at the Botanical Gardens!  I enjoyed it so much I wanted to be sure to put it on our to do list again this holiday season!  The lights are truly amazing!  We had planned to go with one of Mike's co-workers and their little boy Mason.   (And pardon the pictures below...I forgot to bring my camera...yes, I made sure it was charged and ready to go, then left it sitting on the counter top, I was so upset, but thank goodness for iPhones!)

The picture and video just don't do the lights justice, but here you can kind of see the girls running through this row of lights near the entrance to the gardens.

The light display shown here on the lawn is probably one of my favorites.  The lights change colors to tunes of Christmas music.  I just find them so fun and fascinating!

Here is a short video of the kids watching the lights:

The moon looked really incredible behind the clouds too!

 One more quick video:)

I wish you could see the lights better in this photo.  They looked like small flower blossoms on the tree.  (In case you are wondering, yes the entire tree was fake)

The lights near the edible gardens are all in the shape of flowers and bugs!  I love the reflection in the ponds!

In the edible gardens they also have a fireplace.....

....and a bar:)

They also have a "canopy" walk where almost all the tree trunks are lit!  It's just beautiful!

They also have a train display, but I didn't really get a good picture of it.  To all of my Atlanta friends...I highly recommend checking out these lights....either with your kids or for a date night!  It's a little pricey, but M-W are less expensive and less crowded.  Also check out groupon for some possible deals!  But definitely worth it, especially with the wonderful weather we have had lately!
