We are a simple family of four. We try to make the most out of this journey called life. My husband was born in a small town in New Mexico and I in a small town in Kansas, yet we met in Houston and began our lives together there. After five years of marriage we relocated to Atlanta. We have three beautiful daughters and a crazy black lab! We may take ourselves on some crazy adventures at times but we know we have our faith, our love for each other, and our family that will get us through anything!

Anna Ruby Falls

Over Memorial Weekend we also took a little day trip to Anna Ruby Falls and Helen, GA.  The weather was really nice so we were excited to take the girls on a little hike!  It was just about a 2 hour drive to the Falls and a little less than a 1/2 mile hike.  It was a really easy hike with a paved path so the girls were able to walk or ride in the stroller.  There are many other longer hikes and we can't wait to take the girls when they are older!

Away we go........

We had fun exploring some nature along the way!

We made it to the falls!

It was beautiful....double falls!

A sweet little butterfly decided it found the perfect place to land:0)

After spending time at the falls we went into the small German town, Helen to get some lunch.  The girls had fun sitting at the restaurant and watching people tube down the river.  (For all my Texans...I felt it seemed a little more "calm" than the Guadalupe.....and by calm I mean the people not the river:0)

After lunch we walked around the town.....and Evie got some special treats.......a balloon from this street vendor....

.....and trip inside the candy store!

Before leaving we decided to sit beside the river for a bit.  Evie didn't want to step foot in the river "betause the sand feels yutty on her feet" and Layla couldn't get enough!  In fact she perched herself on a rock, put her toes (shoes) in the sand and dug sand, splashed, played, and collected rocks!

We can't wait to take more day trips like this one!
