We are a simple family of four. We try to make the most out of this journey called life. My husband was born in a small town in New Mexico and I in a small town in Kansas, yet we met in Houston and began our lives together there. After five years of marriage we relocated to Atlanta. We have three beautiful daughters and a crazy black lab! We may take ourselves on some crazy adventures at times but we know we have our faith, our love for each other, and our family that will get us through anything!

My "baby" started PreK!

Last week Evie started her first week of Pre-K.  She was really excited about going to school and I know she is ready!  (Mommy on the other hand is not quite as ready!)  I had prepared myself for saying good-bye to her the first day and making sure I didn't get emotional in front of her!  ........and I was very proud of myself for keeping it together!

Layla on the other hand was not so happy about leaving Evie and was not able to hide her emotions!  The entire walk back to our vehicle she kept saying, "I need Evie."  and then when we got into the car she said, "But I love her!"  I assured her we would get Evie after school and we would all play together!

The night before school we gave Evie the book, "The Kissing Hand" and read it before bed!  Then the morning before school I gave her a bracelet and I had a matching one.  I told her this way any time we thought about each other we could look at our bracelet and remember how much we love each other!

For some reason I was more emotional when I picked her up from school!  I think I had prepared myself for leaving her at school that I ended up holding it in until we were on our way home!  I really missed her, but am so proud of her and so happy for everything she will get to experience this year!

On Friday afternoon we had a little "celebration" for the first week of school.  I put several messy activities outside and let the girls play, create, and get as messy as they desired:)

They had so much fun mixing baking soda and vinegar and adding soap, shampoo, and anything else I found around the house!

The messier you are, the more fun you had!

Paint fun!

.....and sprinklers too!

This was the perfect way to relax and have fun together after Evie's first week of school!
