We are a simple family of four. We try to make the most out of this journey called life. My husband was born in a small town in New Mexico and I in a small town in Kansas, yet we met in Houston and began our lives together there. After five years of marriage we relocated to Atlanta. We have three beautiful daughters and a crazy black lab! We may take ourselves on some crazy adventures at times but we know we have our faith, our love for each other, and our family that will get us through anything!

Strawberry Picking!

We were super excited to go pick strawberries again this year at Harry Stacy Farm.  We've been anxiously waiting and checking in with the farm to see when the strawberries were ready to pick.  The girls and I have actually gone to Harry Stacy Farm and picked strawberries for every strawberry season we have been living in Atlanta.

I thought it would be fun to start off with a little Throwback Thursday and revisit each year:)

Here we are in 2011.  This was actually Mother's Day....Evie was 21 1/2 months old and Layla was 5 weeks:)  Such a wonderful mother's day that year!  We went and picked strawberries, then went home and made strawberry shortcake (one of mommy's favorites!)

Here are the girls in 2012!  Evie, 2 1/2 and Layla 12 months

And here we are in 2013!  Evie, 3 1/2 and Layla 2

The weather was overcast and low 70's so it ended up being a perfect day for us this year!  We also went with our wonderful friends and neighbors this year too!  The girls were very excited for our strawberry picking adventure!

Of course we had to get a quick picture before heading to the strawberry patch!
(And a quick side note....Evie's strawberry shirt from last year still fit her and didn't want Layla to be left out so I threw together a quick appliqué the night before while the girls were in the bathtub:)  Somedays I am thankful I am a material hoarder...ha!)

And they are ready to find some strawberries......seems like it's almost as fun as an Easter Egg hunt:)

The girls listened attentively to the directions and were good about picking only the red strawberries!

We had a really fun morning and I think we have had strawberries with almost every meal since we visited the farm.  I thought I'd end with just a few more "throwback" pictures.....it's amazing how quickly time flies!
