We are a simple family of four. We try to make the most out of this journey called life. My husband was born in a small town in New Mexico and I in a small town in Kansas, yet we met in Houston and began our lives together there. After five years of marriage we relocated to Atlanta. We have three beautiful daughters and a crazy black lab! We may take ourselves on some crazy adventures at times but we know we have our faith, our love for each other, and our family that will get us through anything!

Ornery.......

.....you be the judge!

So my little 16 month old seems to love mischief of one kind or another.  And when she gets "caught" she loves to give the wrinkled nose grin as if to say, "I'm not doing anything wrong.  Just look at how cute I am!"

And I think someone forgot to tell her tantrums aren't supposed to start until you are two!  Let's just hope she is getting it out of her system now:0)  Especially when she decided to throw herself on the ground at the CVS checkout counter today because I made her put the tic tacs back on the shelf.....or when she again laid on the ground outside of the library because I was holding her hand to cross the street.  We have also reached the, "I have my own ideas" phase and I'm starting to think changing a diaper or buckling her in her car seat should be consiered an Olympic sport!.  And forget trying to carry her up or down the stairs....she is determined to do it by herself....WITHOUT holding your hand!

Fortunately she brings us just as much....(actually more)....joy and laughter as she does mischief:0)  We love our spunky little girl!

I should have known what I was in for with this little face at 13 months:)

Innocent, right? .....Except for the fact she just got caught stealing her sister's milk...AGAIN (after hers was finished).

Then she decided to turn her back to me...out of sight out of mind, right?

And when she realized that didn't work so well, she tried to hide on the other side of the castle.

Her new favorite activity is to climb the stairs...on the outside of them!!!  I don't know how many times I have caught her here!

....or on the kitchen chairs!

Oh little Layla....you keep us on our toes, but we love your determination:0)
