The actual egg hunt was a little chaotic and somewhat comical this year! They have the area roped off until it is time to start. Then some of the people in charge come out with a megaphone to go over the rules and let you know when to start. Well the assistants took the ropes down early, then as soon as the lead people held up the megaphone.....half the people started. When trying to get them back the other half started going......when it is a 3 and under age group, there is no stopping it:0) Evie had fun getting some eggs with grandma Patty, Layla sat in the grass and stared at the eggs with daddy, and their Tios got a good laugh from watching the chaos! Fun for everyone:0)
Checking out their eggs!
Family time!
We couldn't have asked for better weather over the weekend! We certainly got a lot of use out of our backyard......it was a great place for lots of family time!
The girls enjoyed their adirondack chairs "Aunt" Sheri had found!
Playing with Jill (Mario's girlfriend) and Grandma Patty!
One might think this is an adult Easter Egg Hunt.....no...it's just everyone looking for my husband's lost wedding ring:( Thank goodness Grandma Patty has such good luck and was finally able to find it!
The Easter bunny Came!!!!
Yes, the Easter bunny found the girls this year......left some goodies in their baskets....and ate most of the carrots the girls left:0)

The carrots were (almost) gone:0)
The girls were excited to see their baskets in the morning!
Wonderful Easter Day
Easter was such a wonderful day! We went to mass in the morning then my cousin Sheri, her husband Chris and son Jake, Chris' parents and our friend Kurt all joined us for a yummy Easter meal! It was fun to host Easter this year and have so many people join us!
My yummy ham:0)
Our buffet line....Sheri and Linda (Chris' mom) helped make the food!

Egg Hunt!!!
Last year we had the egg hunt in our front yard. But this year, since we had our back yard finished we had plenty of places to hide them throughout the yard! Once again Sheri and I went a little crazy and when we combined our eggs for each child, Evie and Jake each had about 40 eggs to find (we marked them with their initial), and Layla about 20 :0)
Ready......Set.......Go!
Once Evie found about half her eggs, her basket started getting heavy.....I liked her problem solving of putting the basket down and collecting eggs to bring to the basket.
Jake always says he "wants a challenge"........so he usually gets to "scale walls" or climb play sets to get his eggs!
After the egg hunt there was more time for family fun in the back yard. We got more use of the ribbon net from Layla's birthday party!
As well as the bounce house (with our neighbor Trinity).
This sweet girl has had too much excitement for one day!!!
What a wonderful Easter weekend! We certainly are feeling extremely blessed and every so thankful for the sacrifices Jesus made for us!
