We are a simple family of four. We try to make the most out of this journey called life. My husband was born in a small town in New Mexico and I in a small town in Kansas, yet we met in Houston and began our lives together there. After five years of marriage we relocated to Atlanta. We have three beautiful daughters and a crazy black lab! We may take ourselves on some crazy adventures at times but we know we have our faith, our love for each other, and our family that will get us through anything!

More light box fun!!!

Last week we had a few overcast days so Evie and I pulled out the light box while Layla was taking one of her naps.  I'm still not sure who has more fun playing with the light box....Evie or myself:0)  I was initially inspired with using a light box from the Art teacher at The Parish school where I worked in Houston.  I have also gained a lot of ideas from the Play at Home blog.  This blog has so many amazing ideas for activities to do with kids!!!

Evie decided we needed to have all the cups on the table and each one needed a red gem.  At one point she started adding one small pink gem to each one as well because each one needed, "A mommy and a baby"

One really fun thing that ended up happening was this unplanned amazing rainbow on the dishwasher.  We had fun moving the cups around and watching the rainbow change!

I just love her face in the photo below!  She thought it was pretty cool to see the red gem turn purple when she put it on top of the blue square.

More exploring!!!!

We also had fun exploring watching the light pink hearts take on the color of the squares!

I love spending time with Evie watching her explore and learn!  It's fun to just give her all the different items and see what she does with them.  She often teaches me something new every time as well!
