Princess Playdate
Aida brought her Rapunzel dress with her as well and the girls had so much fun playing princesses all morning!
Sweet Aida at the girls' princess tea party!
Evie's friend Tylie taught her to have a tea party and now it's typically part of our daily routine! I have to admit it is such a fun way to have a little morning snack!
The girl's could hardly wait for the bounce house castle to inflate!
A perfect place for two princesses to burn some energy! They were so cute pretending to "let down their hair" from the castle and pretending to look for "Eugene!"
A day at the zoo!
We had some really great weather while they were here and we couldn't wait to to advantage of it at the zoo! First stop.....flamingos!!!!
How many monkeys do you see in this picture?
We got an up close view of the baby gorilla through the observation window....so cute!
Layla was so cute and loved watching some of the monkeys. She just kept yelling at them....it was so funny to watch her!
It's a rare opportunity to get to see a Panda and we are so fortunate to have some at the Atlanta Zoo. However, our silly girls seemed to care more about swinging on the bar like some monkeys!
Inside the observation area one Panda was sitting up against the window. However, Layla preferred to watch the Panda from a bit of a distance. This was as close as she was going to get!
I really think Aida was meant to be a Texan! She loves her cowboy boots and animals!
Sweet, sweet Aida!
Deep conversation while waiting for train!
And a special treat of a carousel ride to end the day as well! Aida decided to ride on this Giraffee.....
.....and no, Evie is not in trouble, she just decided she wanted to ride in the "big chair" instead of an animal! Lol!
Layla's first carousel ride! She thought she was big stuff!!!!
I think this is a true sign of a good day at the zoo:0)
....the girls all took long naps at the house and Jessica (Aida's mom) and I had a wonderful time visiting and catching up!!!
Fun at the park!
We had another day of beautiful weather and decided to enjoy it at the park!
Our Rapunzel's at the top of their tower!
I"m sure Layla is trying to figure out how she can join them!
Princess Day at the Georgia Aquarium
We usually avoid the crowds at places like the aquarium on the weekends, however the Aquarium had advertised a "princess" day to help promote their frog exhibit. According to their advertising, kids 12 and under could wear a princess/prince costume and would get in free (doesn't really apply to us since our girls are under 3).....but they also indicated their would be opportunities to meet princesses as well as some crafts and games. Since the girls love wearing their Rapunzel dresses and the thought of them getting to meet a princess such as Cinderella, Snow White, etc. sounded so great, we decided to give it a try.
So let me just say....the girls looked so cute and had fun wearing their dresses, but that was about the extent of the excitement for the day. There were no "disney" princesses, instead a handful of Renaissance dressed individuals. There was one "game" that was quite ridiculous and one "craft" if you can call it that.....and the volunteers didn't seem the least enthusiastic about the activities.
Needless to say I would have rather of been that mom who let my daughter wear her princess dress on a random week day for no reason at all! And come to think of it.....we didn't even spend time looking at the frog exhibit!
But on a positive note, it did give us an opportunity to spend one more day with Aida and Jessica and some of their relatives!
Radio Disney was broadcasting live and they had a little "dance floor." It was so cute watching the girls dance. I'm not sure if I was having more visions of our girls in twenty years at a "club" or flashbacks of my college days....LOL!
My adorable snow white......and Layla's new favorite expression.....frowning at everyone. Although here I think she was not too happy with her puffy snow white sleeves:0)
The girls watching the beluga whales!
Mesmerized by the fish!
The girls participating in the "frog game"!
Aida we had so much fun with you last week! Thank you for spending so much time with us! We can't wait to see you again!!!!!!!!

If you were trying to bring tears to my eyes, you have succeeded ;) We had a wonderful time with you and your girls last week! Aida enjoyed all of the wonderful playdates with Evie & Layla and I enjoyed spending lots of time with you and getting to know you a little better!
