We are a simple family of four. We try to make the most out of this journey called life. My husband was born in a small town in New Mexico and I in a small town in Kansas, yet we met in Houston and began our lives together there. After five years of marriage we relocated to Atlanta. We have three beautiful daughters and a crazy black lab! We may take ourselves on some crazy adventures at times but we know we have our faith, our love for each other, and our family that will get us through anything!

Sisters!

There is nothing that puts a bigger smile on my face than watching my two girls interact with each other during the day!  It is so obvious they share such a special bond!

Evie has continued to amaze me in her role as big sister......always wanting to be by Layla's side, worrying about her when she cries, helping her learn new things, and really taking care of her!  In fact, as I type this I am filled with memories of bedtime tonight.  After baths, Evie wanted to "hold" Layla while we read books....(i.e., Layla sits in front of Evie between her legs)....she hugged her and kissed her several times while reading books, and then helped teach her the bedtime prayers.  As we were saying good night Evie wanted Layla to sleep in her bed with her:0)  I assured Evie one day Layla will be old enough to sleep with her.....let's hope by the time Layla is old enough Evie will still feel the same!

Layla never lets her big sister out of her site.....she watches everything Evie does and you can just tell she wants to "do" everything her big sis is doing also.  Now that she is sitting up on her own she has started to learn to lean and reach for big sis' hair and toys!  We are learning lessons in "sharing" these days!

As soon as we hear Layla over the monitor when she wakes from her nap Evie wants to be right by her side to greet her.  She typically wants in the bed with Layla and I love to watch them bond during this time.  It's so cute to hear Evie tell her things like, "Dood Morning Sunshine....you have a dood nap?"

Evie also loves to give Layla baths!  And is the best helper!

Reading books together:)

Evie was teaching Layla how to play with the toy barn......and it appears Layla is deeply listening to everything big sis is saying!

Evie thought it would be a good idea to teach Layla some of her ballet moves from her dance class:)
