Our neighbor's sweet granddaughter came over the other day to play with Evie. I love watching them play together and find it so amazing given there is nearly a seven year age difference! (Evie just adores her and gets so excited to see her).
Well a few days ago she came over to play and after playing in the leaves, blowing bubbles, playing with sidewalk chalk, kicking balls in the backyard.....the girls started making mud cakes.....and I was LOVING every minute of it!
It started with one bucket being filled with some dirt, rocks, and sticks..........
.....and with a little imagination it led to two more buckets and some water!
....the end result....a mud birthday cake for me!
I think I'm going to have to find some cheap toy pots and pans for outdoor use! I can't wait!
While we were playing outside it started to rain so we moved the "party" inside and decided to make some magic potions! (The first few pics are from a few days ago during a playdate with our friend Ryan).
Mix a little vegetable oil, some water, some colored bath tablets, some baking soda, vinegar, some leftover Halloween sprinkles, and some dishsoap and you have.........a HAPPY mess.....AND TONS of FUN!!!!!
My theory is: "The bigger the mess....the more fun you had!"
