We are a simple family of four. We try to make the most out of this journey called life. My husband was born in a small town in New Mexico and I in a small town in Kansas, yet we met in Houston and began our lives together there. After five years of marriage we relocated to Atlanta. We have three beautiful daughters and a crazy black lab! We may take ourselves on some crazy adventures at times but we know we have our faith, our love for each other, and our family that will get us through anything!

Layla

Layla continues to grow and change so quickly as well.  She is going to be 4 months old in just a few more days.  It's amazing how much faster time goes with the second child.  I keep trying to hold onto every new thing she is doing since she changes so fast!

She had her first plane flight when we went to Kansas and she did great!  On the way to Kansas she was awake the entire flight.  On the return flight to Atlanta she slept the entire flight.....but did great both times!  She also got to meet most of my extended family for the first time.....including her great grandma and great grandpa Nordhus.......such treasured memories!

Rolling Over :0)

A few weeks ago Layla started rolling over from her tummy to her back.  She doesn't do it consistently yet and sometimes would rather just get frustrated after being on her tummy for a while rather than roll over.  I'm sure it won't be long before she is a rolly-polly!

She is trying hard to go from her back to her tummy.  She is at the point where she gets her entire body twisted over......just needs to learn to get that other arm out of the way!

Itsy Bitsy Spider:0)

She has found her hands and loves to hold onto her fingers.  She often puts them over her head.  Evie and I like to pretend she is doing the itsy bitsy spider and we sing it to her!

She also loves to hold things or grab things with her fingers.  Usually it's her own hair and she often plays with or pulls her hair when nursing and/or falling to sleep!  I think she is definitely going to be my "blanket" baby as she loves to cuddle with her soft blankets when going to sleep!

sweet sleeping angel......

with a handful of her own hair:0)

She has found her voice!  It was more than a month ago that we heard those first sweet sounds of her voice.   Last week she discovered she can make even more noise with squeals and giggles.  I've captured a few of her "squeals" on video and hope to get those wonderful giggles soon too!  I think she is going to hold her own ground when it comes to talking with her big sister!

Talking to the baby doll :)

Skyping with Aunt Lucy
(please excuse the monkey jumping on the couch in the background:(

Squeals (and a captured a few giggles) with Grandma:

She has always loved to use her legs and appears to be very strong standing with them.  She also loves her stationary entertainer......however, she often gets more entertainment from watching her big sister than the toys on it.  She continues to love having time in her bumbo chair and her floor entertainer as well.  Most of all though I think she loves having someone talk or sing to her......must be because her sister is always in her face:0)

We are all so in love with our happy little girl!
