We are a simple family of four. We try to make the most out of this journey called life. My husband was born in a small town in New Mexico and I in a small town in Kansas, yet we met in Houston and began our lives together there. After five years of marriage we relocated to Atlanta. We have three beautiful daughters and a crazy black lab! We may take ourselves on some crazy adventures at times but we know we have our faith, our love for each other, and our family that will get us through anything!

I'm gonna be.........

.....an AUNT again!!!!!  I do not have the words to express how excited I am to be able to share this news! I have waited almost ten years to be able to say this so you better believe I am going to shout it as loudly as I can.  My sister Shelly is expecting her second child in early November.  This baby has been prayed for, cried for, waited for, and already loved for more than ten years.  So I know already this baby is going to many wonderful things and is going to be more loved than any baby I know......okay, I lie...except for mine that is:0)

My nephew Dalton, who will be 11 in September is going to be the best big brother I know.  My sister told me he is already thinking about things for the baby.....for example he apparently saw the commercial for the "baby bullet" and later told my sister he thought they should maybe get it to make food for the baby.   He has always been so, so wonderful, sweet and helpful around Evie and I know he will be the same when comes in a month to meet Layla.

When I ask Evie, "What's in Aunt Shelly's tummy?"  I love hearing her respond, "A baby....yeah Shelly!"  Of course in the beginning I told her "a baby like Layla" to give her a reference.  But when I asked her the question she would respond, "Layla."  I didn't want people to be confused and wonder why my daughter thought Layla was in my sister's tummy....lol!

My sister and I prayed for years that we would maybe get an opportunity to wear "matching/coordinating outifts" (like my mom always dressed us in as little girls) only we had hoped  they would be maternity outfits.  So when I found out my sister was pregnant....I thought well we could have worn matching maternity clothes since I was going down in size from my pregnancy and she was starting to "expand:)"   We can't believe that after all these years, and all the heartache that we were actually pregnant together for a couple months and that we are going to have babies in the same year....only 7 months apart!  What an especially wonderful Christmas this will be!

I can't say enough prayers to thank God for giving my sister and our family this wonderful blessing.  I thank him also for introducing us to Eastern Medicine and acupuncture.  Without prayer and acupuncture I'm not sure where my sister or I would be!  And of course we are continuing to say many, many more prayers for a continued healthy pregnancy and baby!
