Happy 3rd Birthday Evie!

I can't believe my little girl is three!  It crazy how we spent almost three years trying, hoping, praying for our little miracle....and how those three years seemed like an eternity.  Yet here she is and these three years we have had her in our lives seemed to have gone by so quickly.  I loved waking up today to Evie walking in our room.  And I loved being able to tell her, "Today is the day the doctor took you out of my tummy and we got to see you and hold you for the first time.!"  It totally brought me back to that wonderful day!  

We had been anxiously awaiting Evie's arrival, and I was getting very ansy having been on modified bedrest for four weeks with pre-eclampsia.  After making it to 39 weeks my doctor decided it was best I be induced.  After three tries, and almost two hours, they finally got the epidural right....after a strong attempt at delivering....decided it was best for a c-section.   It took a bit to pull her back out of the birth canal, but when we finally met her it was love at first sight!!!!!  OH I can't say enough how much joy she has brought to our lives.  

It almost made me reminisce and look through some old photos too.  Here are a few of Evie over the last few years:

I had so much fun celebrating Evie's birthday today!   (I'll blog more later about our fun day!)  And I thank God for bringing this wonderful miracle into our lives!!!!
