Last weekend we went to a place called The Little House of Art with our friend Lori and her daughter Kate. A few times per year, The Little House of Art hosts a princess party themed around a particular princess. This time it was Cinderella, complete with face painting by Cinderella, decorating a hand mirror, magic show led by Cinderella, and cupcakes and lemonade in fancy glasses. I thought it sounded like a party fit for my princess!
My little Cinderella....ready to get the party started!
(As a little side note, I really like The Little House of ARt, and I really like the concept of the princess days. But personally I thought it could have been a little better organized. It seemed like there were more than the 20 allotted kids and they initially had all the girls just wait in line for their turn to get their face painted (versus having some start on some of the other activities). Well you can image how restless a bunch of excited 3-5 year old girls became after waiting in line for 20+ minutes (along with more than 20 adults in a hot room). After about 20 minutes they did start having kids waiting in line start painting their mirror first then going to get their face painted, but at this point we were only a few girls away from our turn so we continued to wait.)

...finally the moment arrived to meet Cinderella and for Evie to get her face painted!
(let's just say this is NOT what her make-up will look like when she is 18...or 21...or 30...or whenever we decide to allow her to wear make-up:)
such concentration painting her mirror!
checking herself out in her mirror!
Cupcake and lemonade time with her friend Kate!
What can I say....she is such a little princess...ha!
I thought the idea of adding glitter to the bottom of plastic glasses was cute. (Note to self for future parties:)
The magic show....now this was a hit!!!! And really held the girls attention! Cinderella was great and so animated with the girls!!!!
I had such a wonderful mommy & Evie day (We had actually been at a birthday party for one of Evie's friends just before the Cinderella party!)!
Two parties in one afternoon = one tired princess!
