We are a simple family of four. We try to make the most out of this journey called life. My husband was born in a small town in New Mexico and I in a small town in Kansas, yet we met in Houston and began our lives together there. After five years of marriage we relocated to Atlanta. We have three beautiful daughters and a crazy black lab! We may take ourselves on some crazy adventures at times but we know we have our faith, our love for each other, and our family that will get us through anything!

Caterpillar, Caterpillar!

At the end of March we had ordered some live caterpillars for Layla's birthday party.  The girls really enjoyed watching them go through the cycle of caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly!  It brought back memories of my classroom when I taught at The Parish School.  There were always many, many Monarch caterpillars in the butterfly garden areas at the school....and they make the most beautiful chrysalis.  It was fun to share this experience with my girls as well!

We were fortunate enough to catch one right as it was beginning to form it's chrysalis!

the beautiful green chrysalis with gold bead trim:)

We also caught the chrysalis just before the butterfly came out!

That morning I told Evie, "Oh look Evie, it is brown and you can see the butterfly, it's going to come out soon!"  Well, I forgot "soon" means within a couple minutes to a two year old.  She pulled her chair up and said she was going to watch the butterfly come out!

 One of the butterflies!

.....and another:0)

The girls just loved watching the butterfly learning to fly.....and I had so much fun watching their curiosity!
